For The Washington Post, Sandy Jorgenson Advocates for Her Nonbinary Child

Jorgenson writes for The Washington Post about the recent slate of anti-trans legislation from a mother's perspective, centering her love for her nonbinary child.

We admire this author's tenacious love and defense of her child's identification as trans nonbinary and wanted to share her call to ask others to be similarly supportive. In our Reading Motherhood course, we frequently interrogate the notion that motherhood is "universal" and "instinctual," and so, as a caveat, we ask that you read the first several paragraphs with a discerning eye.
